In the 20 volumes I have always had a slightly retrospective look, each time imagining the possibility of complex comparability. History went on and, along with it, in different evolutionary stages, new sequences emerged that had to influence the economic course and, hence, the social evolution of Romania.

Frankly speaking, I did not think about the evolution for a hundred years, but I always looked carefully, through brief comparisons, from where Romania started and where it arrived every time.

I ended the cycle of 20 volumes in a climate of personal satisfaction, I think not necessarily for the special quality of the work but mainly for the perseverance of continuing and publishing over 20 years, putting an ending point in 2017, when we celebrated completed ten years from Romania's accession to the European Union.
